On Saturday, March 21, 2015, the Time Community Theater will memorialize one of its own with a high-impact series of kung fu movies featuring martial arts stars. Admission to the event is FREE. There is a catch, though: Due to the nature (and ratings) of the films, no one under 17 will be admitted without parental consent.
Mike Bond (also known as Bond, Mr. Bond, Fuzzy and Foo) was a Time Community Theater volunteer, husband of Time board member Shelly Michalski and popular high school technology education instructor at Appleton North and Appleton West high schools. He proudly rocked a black belt in tae kwon do and idolized Bruce Lee. Last November, Mike passed away after a yearlong battle with cancer.
In the honor of a truly kick-butt individual, the Time wants YOU to come watch some seriously kick-butt kung fu! Please consider this your personal invitation to come celebrate his life at the official, one and only Mike “Fuzzy” Bond’s Kung Fu Kickfest! While the event is free, we will be raising money in memory of Mike. All donations that day will go toward the purchase of a memorial bench on the campus of his beloved alma mater, the University of Missouri – Columbia.
